Does your idea of a good book contain magical swords and epic quests? Maybe you like journeys through space and contact with alien creatures?

Sing, read, talk, write, and play with the children in your life! Join us for a family storytime at the library for rhymes, songs, and stories for children and a parent or a caregiver.

Twice a month on Wednesdays, teens in the library after school are invited to join us in the Cedar Room for a craft. Each week will be a different craft.

Return or pick up library materials every Friday in front of the Eastside Fire Department.

Toddlers and preschoolers get ready to craft!  Join us for a hands-on arts and craft program for toddlers and preschoolers (and their parent or caregiver).  Each month will feature a different craft and highlight a pre-kindergarten readi

Yoga for Liberation is an inclusive class for all levels of experience. We will explore how we can sustain ourselves in the fight for justice and in creating the equitable and liberated world we all want to live in.

Book Brunch is a book club devoted to reading, unrestricted by genre, plus, of course, brunch! Each month we will read a book, then meet the second Saturday of the next month for waffles, orange juice, coffee etc., and a chat.

Catch the spelling bee buzz at Black Market Gourmet, 495 Central Avenue, Coos Bay. Teams of undaunted locals will test their spelling abilities at Coos Bay Public Library Foundation’s annual Adult Spelling Bee fundraiser.

Writing prompts will be provided for warmups. 

Share ideas and get feedback on writing works.

Spend time with like minded individuals working on their writing.
