Meet at the Coos Bay Public Library, 525 Anderson, Coos Bay.

What could be better than a camp involving both books and gardening?  The Coos Bay Public Library and 4H are teaming up to offer a FREE camp for kids ages 9-12.  All supplies are provided for the camp; pre-registration is required.  

During the week, Campers will:

  • Learn more about gardening and the library
  • Participate in a project at Ladybug Garden
  • Build a garden box and plant seeds
  • Paint garden pottery at Pottery Company
  • Learn how to prepare nutritious vegetable and fruit snacks
  • Play games
  • Keep a journal inspired by the garden
  • AND MORE....

We'll be walking to Ladybug Landing and the Pottery Company and will be working in the dirt as well as painting pottery; participants will want to dress appropriately in clothes that can get dirty, are weather appropriate, and are comfortable for walking.

Please register for the program only if your child can attend all days of the program.  Registration ends June 22; please let us know prior to that if your plans change.
