Volunteer Opportunities at Coos Bay Library

Volunteers help the library continue to offer high quality service to the community. Below are examples of volunteer opportunities available.

How to Apply

Please fill out a volunteer application and return to the HR Coordinator’s Office at Coos Bay City Hall. A paper copy of the application is available at the Library Reference Desk and the HR Coordinator's Office.

The Director or Deputy Director will contact applicants regarding available opportunities. Volunteers are subject to background check. Volunteers must be at least 15 years old.

Volunteer Jobs

Friends of the Coos Bay Public Library are always looking for assistance with their efforts. This includes assisting in the Friends of the Library bookstore and at book sales. Apply to join our Friends group today!

Volunteers help return books and other materials to their place in the library, straighten shelves, and assist with maintaining displays.

Volunteers help ready materials for checkout, repair damaged items, and assist with other related projects.
