Mother Goose on the Loose

MGOL is a program for infants and toddlers and their parents or caregivers. MGOL incorporates research-based theories of learning, music, puppets, picture books, nursery rhymes, play, and language. Symphonic Storytime: Online
A celebration of the arts for toddlers and preschoolers! Symphonic Storytime is a weekly video series that pairs a picture book with an orchestral piece. Following the story, stay tuned for the encore and listening guide. The Symphonic Storytime playlist can be found on the library's YouTube channel.
STEAM Storytime: Online
Join us as we explore science, technology, engineering, art, and math! Each video includes a story and a related project. Find the STEAM Storytime playlist on the library's YouTube channel. STEAM kits are available for in-lobby pick up the week before a video release (twice monthly). Follow us on Facebook for kit annoucements!
BookBox for Kids
BookBox is a fun and easy way to try new books! Library staff picks a book we think you'll love, based on your reading profile, and package it up with some other fun stuff (that you can keep!) in a monthly subscription box. (For the adult reading profile, click here.) Just print off the form, fill it out, and drop it off at the library. Your first BookBox will be ready for you the first week of next month.
Note for parents: Please feel free to fill out a profile for your pre-reader. We love selecting books for everyone-- no age limits applied!
Dolly Parton's Imagination Library
Interested in having free books mailed to your child every month? Register online for Dolly Parton's Imagination Library! Children must be under the age of five and have an address in Coos Bay or Allegany. Registration forms also available at the Coos Bay Public Library. Join a community of enthusiastic young writers! Open to students age 12-18, this group offers a fun and supportive atmosphere in which to share and improve your craft.
