Coos Bay Library has teamed up with Coos Head Food Co-op's Outreach Coordinator, Jamar, to provide safe, easy, and healthy recipes to create at home. Join us virtually on Zoom for this fun community event!

For this month’s recipe, Jamar will be featuring Coos Head Bánh mì. Scroll down for ingredients.

Coos Head Bánh mì ingredeints:
1 Red Onion
1 Half of Red Cabbage (ask the produce department to cut in half)
1 Daikon Radish (we will be cutting these into long slices)
1 Jalapeño (we will be slicing them)
1 bunch of Cilantro
1 Package of Surata Tofu
1 Bottle of San-J Teriyaki Sauce
½ Cup of Sesame Oil (we have it bulk, which is an awesome way save)
1 Package of Bakerly Brioche Burger Buns
½ Cup of Rice Wine Vinegar (we have it bulk, which is an awesome way save)
2 cloves of Garlic
Red Cabbage Slaw:
½ teaspoon Black Poppy Seeds
Salt (sprinkle over the top of vegetables)
Black Pepper (sprinkle over the top of vegetables)
You will need:
2 Skillet (1 for toasting Tofu, 1 for teriyaki reduction)
2 Bowls (1 for quick pickled veggies and 1 for quick slaw)
1 Pair of Tongs
