CHANGE IN LIBRARY OPEN HOURS BEGINNING THURSDAY, OCTOBER 21ST
Due to staffing shortages, the library will be changing its open hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays to 11am-4pm, effective Thursday, October 21st.
The lobby will remain open until 6pm for hold pickup and library staff will continue to be available by phone 11am-6pm.

Coos Bay Library has teamed up with Coos Head Food Co-op's Outreach Coordinator, Jamar, to provide safe, easy, and healthy recipes to create at home. Join us virtually on Zoom for this fun community event!
For this month’s recipe, Jamar will be featuring CORNBREAD FRITTER WITH A SLICE OF SUMMER. Scroll down for ingredients.
Event is FREE and open to everyone!
Cornbread Fritter with a Slice of Summer ingredients:
-Bob's Red Mill Stoneground Corn Bread Mix
-1/2 cup of diced Zucchini
-1 1/2 cup of Veggie Stock
-1/4 teaspoon of Onion Powder
-1/4 teaspoon of Garlic Powder
-1/4 teaspoon of Black Pepper
-1/2 teaspoon of Smoked Paprika
- 3 tablespoons of plain unsweetened Yogurt (does not have to be dairy)
- Fresh Dill
- 1/2 cup Green Onion
- 2 Tomatoes (Beefsteak or Heirloom)
- 1 Lemon or 1/2 teaspoon of Lemon Juice
- Parchment Paper
- Olive Oil
